Art Camp - Drawing, Printing, and Masks, Oh My!

Tuition: $175
Ages: 7 to 11
Are you looking for an art camp that your child will love? Look no further! Led by professional artist and teacher, Leah Thompson, this exciting one-week camp will immerse your child in engaging and fun art activities. Each day will be divided into three parts: mask-making, printing, and drawing.
In the first hour, we will learn the basics of paper mache as we build, paint, and decorate a theatrical mask. In the second hour, we will explore and experiment with various printing techniques, including stamping, block printing, fabric printing, and mono-printing. In the final hour, we will focus on basic drawing skills by creating drawings of animals, still life, and faces.
Throughout the week, we will cover important vocabulary such as shading, paper mache, exaggeration, patterns, contrast, primary and secondary colors, warm and cool colors, complementary colors, monotype, sculpture, and form. At the end of the week, we will celebrate our experiences with a student art show and reception.
