Raku Firing

Join us for a hands-on, three-part Raku pottery workshop designed to guide you through the captivating process of creating and firing your own Raku ceramics. Whether you're new to pottery or an experienced clay enthusiast, this series offers a rich experience in traditional techniques.
Class Dates & Activities:
- June 21 – Forming with Raku Clay
Learn the basics of hand-building or wheel-throwing with Raku clay. This session focuses on shaping your pieces with guidance and demonstrations to support your creative vision. - June 28 – Terra Sigillata & Burnishing
You'll apply terra sigillata to your bisque-fired pieces and learn how to burnish them for that signature soft sheen. - July 12 – Raku Firing (Celebration in Clay Event)
Experience the thrill of Raku firing during our Celebration in Clay event! Watch your pieces transform in real time through this dramatic, fast-fire process.
Bonus: Class participants do not pay additional fees for firing during the Celebration in Clay event!
