Beginning Fused Glass
Tuition: $110; plus an additional materials fee for glass, which can be purchased in the studio. This can range between $10-$40. The cost of each project is calculated by the complexity and glass you choose. (Scrap glass is free and discounted glass is available.)

Learn the basics of the art, and science, of glass fusing in this introductory 3-day fusing class!
Explore the exciting transition of glass from hard, brittle pieces to a mystical, moldable state, where glass flows like molten lava, pieces join, and art is formed under intense heat. Students will create a set of coasters, 1 free-form fused panel, and one dimensional project of their choice - either a plate, dish, candle holder, or a freestanding piece. Learn the techniques used to create many kinds of fused glass projects, including glass compatibility, ramping schedules, mold slumping, glass frit, and stringer bending. and more.
Glass cutting experience is helpful, but not required; Some previous glass cutting; we will cover the basics of cutting glass in class.
Please wear closed-toe shoes for safety.
