Stained Glass II

Tuition: $100; plus an approximate $75 material fee, payable to instructor at first class

Ages: Adult

Move up to creating larger and more detailed panels, and develop your skills, in this 4 week class
for graduates of Beginning Stained Glass, or Weekend Beginning Stained Glass. Learn more about
glass selection, more expressive types of glass, edging, framing, free form suncatchers, structural
issues and solutions. Students are encouraged to bring 2 or 3 “patterns of interest” to class, and there will be some patterns available in class. Please, no patterns over 18x20”, or over 60 pieces! We will discuss and select patterns at the first session. Tools are available in class, but bring your own hand tools, if you have any.

How do you know if you’re ready, and how do you prepare for the first class?
Have taken a copper foil class, and completed at least 3 panels.

Be comfortable doing at least basic cutting at home, have some of your own hand tools, and a
place to work.

Have a way to transport your glass and project to and from class. A work board or large tray for
partial, cut out project, and some type way to carry glass to and from class.

Preselect a couple of possible panels, and bring images of them to class, or talk to me before first
session. I do have 3 different patterns suitable for this class, and on the easier end of the “size and
piece count” range. All less than 11x17” so you may want to enlarge them a bit – your option. I also have several pattern books for sale. If possible, come to the studio and look at them at least a few days before the class.

4-week class, no class on May 28th
